33 Most Deserving New Scholars Chosen After Month-Long Interview Series by DSAFI
After more than a month of interviews and screenings, the Dominican Scholarship Assistance Fund, Inc. (DSAFI) has concluded its search for this year’s new scholars. From May 4 to June 14, 2025, the organization visited various barangays across Santo Domingo, Albay, to personally interview applicants and ensure equal opportunity for all.
A total of 153 students took the chance and submitted their applications. However, due to limited slot, only 29 of the most deserving were selected after extensive deliberation by the DSAFI Board of Trustees through a majority vote.
In addition, DSAFI awarded the David S. Curry Award to the top of the class of four high schools in Sto. Domingo, Albay during their graduation rites held last April.
John Vergil V. Rodriguez – Alimsog Integrated School
Angel Ann B. Loreno – Bical National High School
Romel Salvadora – Sto. Domingo National High School
Jasmine Rose V. Baria – San Fernando National High School
To those applicants who were not chosen this year, we thank you for your interest in being part of the organization and we encourage you to apply again next year.
