RESULTS ARE OUT!

33 Most Deserving New Scholars Chosen After Month-Long Interview Series by DSAFI

After more than a month of interviews and screenings, the Dominican Scholarship Assistance Fund, Inc. (DSAFI) has concluded its search for this year’s new scholars. From May 4 to June 14, 2025, the organization visited various barangays across Santo Domingo, Albay, to personally interview applicants and ensure equal opportunity for all.

A total of 153 students took the chance and submitted their applications. However, due to limited slot, only 29 of the most deserving were selected after extensive deliberation by the DSAFI Board of Trustees through a majority vote.

In addition, DSAFI awarded the David S. Curry Award to the top students of Alimsog Integrated School, Bical National High School, Sto. Domingo National High School, and San Fernando National High School during their graduation rites held last April.

To those applicants who were not chosen this year, we thank you for your interest in being part of the organization and we encourage you to apply again next year.

DSAFI WONDERLAND: REMINISCING SWEET MEMORIES – YEAR-END PARTY

The Christmas Party held on December 18, 2024, was a meaningful and joyful celebration that brought together the Board of Trustees, scholars, and parents in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and the true essence of the holiday season. The event served as a culminating activity to reflect on the accomplishments, challenges, and shared experiences throughout the year.

The celebration was filled with laughter, excitement, and a strong sense of camaraderie among the participants. Various activities were conducted to promote interaction, teamwork, and enjoyment, allowing everyone to create unforgettable memories. The festive atmosphere, highlighted by the spirit of giving and togetherness, made the event even more special and memorable for everyone present.

More than just a celebration, the Christmas Party became a moment of reflection and appreciation. It showcased not only the academic growth of the scholars but also the strengthened bonds of friendship and cooperation among the Board of Trustees, parents, and the entire DSAFI community. Enhancing Communication Skills and Digital Productivity Tools for DSAFI Scholars

The Dominican Scholarship Assistance Fund, Inc. (DSAFI), successfully conducted a Capability Enhancement Training entitled “Enhancing Communication Skills and Digital Productivity Tools for DSAFI Scholars” last October 20, 2024, at the DSAFI Office.

The training aimed to empower DSAFI scholars by strengthening their communication skills and introducing them to essential digital productivity tools that are valuable for academic excellence and future professional success. Through interactive discussions and practical learning sessions, participants gained insights that will help them communicate more effectively, collaborate efficiently, and maximize the use of digital platforms in their studies and future careers.

We were honored to have Ms. Venus J. Cahapay and Ms. Aphrodite Bechayda as our resource speakers, who generously shared their expertise, experiences, and practical strategies that inspired and equipped our scholars to become more confident, competent, and future-ready individuals.

DSAFI extends its heartfelt gratitude to our speakers, the DSAFI Student Board, and all the scholars who actively participated in making this activity a meaningful and successful learning experience.

We were privileged to welcome Mr. Christian C. Antiquiera, MM, Human Resource Specialist II from the Civil Service Commission Regional Office V, as our distinguished resource speaker. Through his insightful discussions, he shared valuable perspectives on job readiness, career planning, professional development, and the competencies expected in today’s competitive workforce.

DSAFI remains steadfast in its commitment to developing not only academically competent scholars but also future-ready professionals who embody excellence, integrity, and service. STO. DOMINGO TOWN FIESTA PARADE 2024

In honor of the feast day of St. Dominic de Guzman and the annual celebration of the Town Fiesta, The Dominican Scholarship Assistance Fund, Inc. (DSAFI) proudly took part in the annual parade, bringing together scholars in a vibrant display of unity, pride, and community spirit. Wearing the official DSAFI scholars’ uniform and their bright smiles, the DSAFI scholars marched along the town streets with enthusiasm, embodying not only the joy of the fiesta but also the values of the organization.

The parade became more than just a festive activity it was a meaningful opportunity for the scholars to represent DSAFI and express their gratitude to the community that continuously supports their educational journey. With every step, laughter and camaraderie filled the air, strengthening the bond among scholars from different schools and year levels.

As they waved to the crowd and shared the moment with the townspeople, the scholars showcased the true essence of being part of DSAFI—unity, humility, and service. The experience left a lasting memory, reminding everyone that beyond academic achievements, it is these shared moments that build stronger connections and inspire a deeper sense of belonging.
